Our audience includes older adults and people using assistive technology. Accessibility is a functional requirement here, not a formality.

Our commitment

Ever Ahead aims to be usable by everyone, including people using screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or other assistive technology.

Standard we aim for

We are working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.

[LEGAL REVIEW REQUIRED] A formal conformance claim should only be published after an independent accessibility audit. Until then this is a statement of intent, not a certification.

What we have built in

  • Semantic HTML with a logical heading structure and one clear H1 per page.
  • Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images; decorative images hidden from assistive technology.
  • Full keyboard access, including the navigation menu, mobile menu and accordions.
  • Visible focus indicators on every interactive element.
  • Properly associated form labels, with hints and requirements stated in text.
  • Color contrast intended to meet AA for body text and interface elements.
  • Meaning never conveyed by color alone.
  • Descriptive link and button text rather than “click here”.
  • Responsive layouts that reflow without horizontal scrolling, with large tap targets.
  • Respect for the reduced-motion system preference.
  • A skip-to-content link at the top of every page.

Known limitations

  • The site has not yet undergone an independent accessibility audit.
  • Third-party content and embedded services added later may not fully conform.
  • Some PDF or downloadable resources may not be fully accessible when published.

If you encounter a barrier, please tell us. It is the fastest way for us to fix it. Contact us and select “an accessibility issue”. Please describe the page and what happened.

If you need information from this site in a different format, ask and we will provide it.

Ongoing work

Accessibility is treated as an ongoing requirement rather than a one-time task. New pages and features are expected to meet the same standard.
