Our approach

Ever Ahead collects only the information reasonably necessary to show families relevant senior-care options and to attribute referrals to providers. We do not collect sensitive information simply because it might be useful later.

Information we do not ask for

We do not request, and ask that you do not send us:

• Social Security numbers
• Medical records or detailed medical histories
• Insurance policy or member numbers
• Medication lists
• Formal diagnoses
• Financial account details

Information we collect

Information you give us

• Search preferences. City or ZIP code, search radius, care type, general categories of daily support needed, whether memory concerns are a factor, an approximate budget range, how you expect to pay for care (for example private pay, insurance, VA benefits or Medicaid), community preferences and timing.
• Contact information. First name, email address and phone number, where you choose to provide them. These fields are optional wherever practical.
• Messages. Anything you send through our contact or provider forms.

Information collected automatically

• Standard web analytics such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, and referring source.
• Campaign parameters (UTM source, medium, campaign, term and content) where you arrive via a link that carries them.

How we use information

• To identify senior-care providers that may fit what you told us.
• To let you return to results you have already generated, where you gave us an email address.
• To attribute referrals to providers, so both parties have a record of where an inquiry originated.
• To respond to messages you send us.
• To understand how the site is used and improve it.
• To comply with legal obligations.

How we share information

We do not broadcast your details to a list of communities. Information identifying you is shared with a provider only when you choose to contact that provider, or expressly ask us to pass your details on.

We may share information with:

• Providers you select. When you choose to connect with a provider, relevant details of your inquiry may be shared so they can respond usefully.
• Service providers. Vendors who operate our website, hosting, analytics, email and forms, under obligations to protect the information.
• Legal and safety. Where required by law, or to protect rights and safety.
• Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.

Referral tracking

When you choose to contact a provider through Ever Ahead, we record that a referral occurred, which provider was selected, when, and which page it originated from. We do not expose sensitive questionnaire information in URLs.

Your choices

• You can use most of Ever Ahead without giving us contact information at all.
• You can ask us to access, correct or delete information we hold about you.
• You can opt out of marketing email at any time.
• You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Data retention and security

We retain information for as long as needed for the purposes described here, then delete or de-identify it. We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
